HOW LONG AFTER YOU GET STITCHES CAN YOU STOP WEARING BANDAGES OVER THEM?
Question by Golfr:
How long soon after you get stitches can you cease wearing bandages over them?
I had a mole removed for biopsy and I have 4 stitches. The doctor is removing the stitches in 3 weeks and told me to be really careful with it for about a week. So, I was curious if I have to put on a bandage more than it the complete time or just the 1st week. I will be calling her on Monday to ask but I just desired to see if everyone knew or has experienced this prior to.

When you have got stitches somewhere they are swiftly in the way of clothing or something else. To protect the wound and the stitches, you really should cover them until finally the danger of infection is decreased – a week sounds fair.

It all depends on where the mole was cut off, if it is in a area that nothing at all can get snagged on it by all implies take off the bandage but if there is a possibility of it getting dirty, torn or something else preserve the bandage on until finally the stitches come out.
