Our Sages teach that before we sound the Shofar on Rosh Hashanah the world actually stands in precarious balance -- until G-d decides to accept us again as His subjects. So on Rosh Hashanah (beginning this evening, Sunday, September 16) we gather in our synagogues to elect G-d as King of the Universe, beseeching Him also to shower His blessings upon us for a good and sweet New Year. To properly prepare, we reflect solemnly upon our past and resolve to do better; we joyously increase our performance of mitzvos; and we conscientiously help others do the same. At Chabad.org, more than 1.7 million unique users currently access our website monthly for priceless knowledge, essential life tools and communal connection. But our work has barely begun! For the New Year, we are redoubling our efforts to ensure that more people than ever can enjoy Judaism's priceless treasures.
